Another very welcome 11cm of fresh powder to report at our Niseko snow station this morning, although to be honest we had anticipated even more. Still we won’t complain any time new snow is in the double digits and undoubtedly a lot more than this fell on the mountain. It is cold and windy outside so dress up warm and choose which resort you visit before you leave. There is a good chance the top lifts will be closed this morning. The strong winds won’t last too long though and there is a good chance that backcountry gates will be open again on Friday. We are now at the absolute peak of the Japan ski season 2023, so bottomless turns are everywhere to be found!
