  • Niseko Snow Report 30th January 2022

For two days in a row huge snowfalls have blanketed Niseko and Kutchan covering, and in many cases burying, everything in sight. A massive 45cm of fresh snow has been recorded in the last 24 hours – the biggest of the 2021-22 winter season so far – meaning we have received more than 80cm in 48 hours! This lead to many calls of “too deep!” around the Niseko ski resorts yesterday but the reality is there will be plenty of super soft, powder snow out there to play in to suit all abilities from beginner to expert. The temperature today is not expected to rise above -8ºc today the condition of the snow will remain excellent throughout the day and into the evening.
As it stands we have now gone above 3 metres of snowfall for January 2022 and surpassed 7 metres for the season so far in Niseko!

Heavy snowfall – heavy even by Niseko standards! – has been experienced across Niseko and Kutchan for the last 48 hours with more on the way throughout the week ahead!
