The snow is back! While some snowfall was recorded most days this week the prevailing outlook was clearer, sunny days, which offered some respite from Old Man Winter. However, heavier snow started falling later in the day yesterday and 18cm of fresh snow was recorded at 8:30am this morning when the temperature was -4ºc. While it was nice to have a break from snow clearing, we would always choose to wake up to double digit snowfalls and the next few days look like they will grant the wishes of all Niseko powder hounds! This won’t be a complete reset with plenty of harder sections within touching distance under the surface. Nevertheless, conditions for skiing and snowboarding should be excellent across all Niseko ski resorts today and all weekend long!
The forecast for the next few days remains very good with plenty of snow expected to fall. Just watch out for the wind higher up! Information from snow-forecast.com
