The “Gourmet Stays” episode centres around one of Hokkaido’s best attractions (other than the snowsports!), which is, of course, food, and demonstrating that there are far more things to do in Niseko than ski!
The show’s hosts stayed at the 5-bedroom Seasons Niseko in Annupuri, and sampled some of the prefecture’s freshest local fares, prepared for them by Season’s in-house Michelin-star Chef Sean Mell. The group also visited the famous Annupuri soba house Rakuichi Soba for their Kaiseki dinner.
While Niseko Ski Resort has long been on the radar of many powder-hungry international visitors from Australia and beyond, the show provides an opportunity to showcase the world-class ski resort to a North American audience, where skiing in Japan is a bit more under the radar.
