Hakuba Ski Hire
Hakuba ski resort has a number of ski equipment rental shops across its 10 ski resort areas. The two largest and most popular rental shops are Central Snowsports and Rhythm Japan. Both offer a huge range of equipment with the latest and most up-to-date models so that even the most experienced and particular skiers and snowboarders can find the equipment they need.
Japan Ski Experience recommends selecting your shop based on proximity to your accommodation and/or ease of pick up. We have created a helpful list here of which vendor to select based on your accommodation.

Central Snowsports Hakuba stocks some of the largest and widest range of Demo ski and snowboard equipment rental in Hakuba and endeavors to match you with the best gear possible to enable progress no matter your ability.
With three stores across the resort, Central Snowsports Hakuba services all of Hakuba with their convenient complimentary pick-up & drop-off service. Kids rates apply to ages 13 and under.
Choose from either Regular or Demo Hakuba ski rental packages:
Regular Rental Package – To suit beginner to lower intermediate level skiers and boarders. Great for those on a budget who want to stick to the piste.
Demo Rental Package – Includes the best of the latest top brands like K2, Line, Volkl, Head, Ride Snowboards, Nordica, Full Tilt, Technica, and Blizzard.
Rentals can be picked up from 13:00 the day before your ski hire Hakuba start period. Free delivery and guest shuttle for fittings and equipment collection.
Central Snowsports equipment is available from one of 3 centrally located shops:
- Happo: Opening hours 08:00 – 20:00 (map)
- Wadano: Opening hours 08:00 – 18:00 (map)
- Echoland: Opening hours 08:00 – 18:00 (map)

Rhythm Japan

Rhythm Japan provides some of the highest quality of products and service as well as the best range of equipment to suit all of your Hakuba ski hire needs. The shop offers complimentary pick-up & drop-off service throughout Hakuba.
Guests who pre-book equipment can now fast-track the line and no longer need to check in at the shop during an exclusive pick-up window between 13:00 – 15:00.
Rhythm has two convenient shops in Hakuba, servicing both Wadano and Happo areas.
Choose from either Standard or Premium rental packages:
Standard Rental Package – to suit beginner to lower intermediate level skiers and boarders. This range will also satisfy those on a budget who are willing to stick to the groomers. Swap between ski and snowboard or try out different models each day.
Premium Rental Package – The Premium rental range is updated every season with all the latest skis and snowboards on the market and offers everything from carve skis to super-wide powder skis. Huge selection to suit any skier and any snow conditions. Swap between ski and snowboard or try out different models each day.
