When does Rusutsu ski resort open?
The Rusutsu 2026-27 ski season will start on 28th November 2026 until 30th March 2027, weather and conditions permitting.
Which ski areas make up Rusutsu ski resort?
Rusutsu is made up of the West Mountain, right next to the Rusutsu Resort Hotel, and East Mountain/Mt. Isola where most of the long groomers and tree runs are. Check out our Rusutsu page for more information.
When does night skiing run in Rusutsu?
2026/27 night skiing dates in Rusutsu are TBA, but usually mid-December to the end of March on the West Mountain side only, until around 8pm.
When is the best time to visit Rusutsu?
The best time to visit Rusutsu for peak powder is typically from late December to mid-February. Snow quality remains excellent through February and into March, with significantly fewer crowds later in the season.
Where should I stay in Rusutsu?
It’s difficult to go wrong in Rusutsu as The Vale Rusutsu and Rusutsu Resort Hotel are both right next to the West Mountain chairlifts, and have plenty of on-site facilities such as onsen, ski school, ski rentals and shops. You will have a comfortable stay at either.
