Where to Stay in Furano
Furano has three main areas to consider. The right choice depends on how much you prioritise lift access versus dining options and space.
- Furano Zone: Closest to the Furano Ropeway and beginner ski school zones, with the shortest walk to the lifts. Dining options are more limited here than in Kitanomine.
- Kitanomine Zone: Furano’s main winter village with a mix of accommodation styles, still within walking distance of the lifts and with a good selection of restaurants and bars nearby. Most guests choose Kitanomine for its balance of ski access and dining.
- Furano Town & Surrounds: Further from the ski resort with more restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Generally requires a car but suits longer stays and guests who plan to self-cater.
If you’re unsure which area suits your trip best, see our full Where to Stay in Furano guide.
