When does Furano ski resort open?
The Furano 2026-27 ski season will start on 28th November 2026, weather and conditions permitting. Closing date TBA.
Which ski areas make up Furano ski resort?
Furano is is made up of the Furano Zone, right next to the Shin Furano Prince Hotel, and the Kitanomine Zone, a small village of self contained chalets between the ski resort and downtown Furano. Check out our Furano page for more information.
When does night skiing run in Furano?
2026/27 night skiing dates in Furano are TBA, but generally opens in Furano Zone from mid-Dec, and from late-Dec at Kitanomine Zone, both until mid/late March until 6pm on weekdays and 7:30pm on weekends. Times are subject to change depending on snow and weather conditions.
When is the best time to visit Furano?
The best time to visit Furano for peak powder is typically from late December to mid-February. Snow quality remains excellent through February and into March, with fewer crowds later in the season.
