  • Niseko Snow Report 3rd January 2022

Stormy conditions overnight have delivered 26cm of fresh snow, most of which has fallen (or blown in!) since early evening last night. The temperature at 8am was -8c although it feels much colder this morning due to strong winds sticking around. We can expect some Niseko ski lifts to be slowed or stopped completely today and at the time of writing Niseko Annupuri and Hanazono lifts are not running with the exception of their lower down beginner ski lifts. Strong winds mean some areas will be filled to the brim with lovely fresh powder snow but there will be some ski runs that have been stripped bare by the storm so take care and stay safe out there today!

This is probably an average reading for today’s snow report – some windblown spots may have only collected 5cm but you can be sure some areas will be waist deep in powder!
