An unexpected but very welcome 6cm of new snowfall has been recorded since yesterday and the temperature at 8am this morning was -9ºc. The snow that has fallen is incredibly light and dry, the perfect start to the weekend for all powder hounds. The sun is out and it should remain sunny for much of the day so conditions for skiing and snowboarding will be superb. Backcountry gates are expected to be open and the avalanche risk is relatively low so stay safe out there and have a great Sunday!
Quality of snow doesn’t get much better than this and the fine weather conditions indicate a great day of skiing ahead in the Niseko ski resorts.
