A surprising amount of new snow fell overnight, most of it coming down in the early hours of this morning; we have recorded 13cm of snowfall here which is a lot more than had been forecast and enough to ensure we have hit the 6 metre mark for the season! The forecast for the rest of the week suggests snow every day and even some sunshine on Thursday. Let’s hope we continue to get more snow than is forecast each day this week!
The wind could be an issue higher up early on but all base lifts and gondolas across the Niseko United ski resorts should be operating and weather conditions will improve as the day goes on. In short a great day to be skiing and snowboarding in Niseko!
We were expecting maybe a couple of cms but we got a lot more! The quality of snow of the car this morning was very good; light, dry powder in every direction!
