  • Niseko Snow Report 13th January 2022

After a wild, stormy night we awoke to record 21cm of new snowfall since yesterday. The temperature at 8am this morning was -2c. Disclaimer: The JSE snow station was buried under s wind drift this morning so the measurement was taken from the roof of a car which was completely cleared of snow at 1pm yesterday. Very strong winds blew through town all night last night and heavy snow fell throughout. The wind seems to have become less intense so far this morning so hopefully more ski lifts will open across the Niseko ski resort area today. Heavy snow is still forecast so enjoy the skiing and snowboarding where its possible, conditions could be very good indeed!

After a very stormy night 20cm of fresh snow feels like about the average that would have come down around Niseko and Kutchan. Strong winds means some areas will have received less while other areas will be snowed under!
Make sure to bookmark the JSE Snow Report and follow us on Instagram to keep up to date with what is happening in Niseko, Hakuba and beyond this winter! Total accumulated snowfall for winter season 2021-22: 560cm so far
