  • Niseko Snow Report 16th February 2022

Strong winds have swept across the Niseko area bringing fresh snow with 6cm recorded in 24 hours. The temperature at 8:30am this morning was -2ºc. The current Niseko weather suggests that conditions may not be ideal for skiing and snowboarding today but the fresh snow means that staying low and finding the less wind affected areas should still result in some good powder turns this morning. Looking ahead more snow is forecast from tomorrow onwards and we should see heavier snowfalls from the weekend onwards, potentially leading to a very snowy end to the month of February in Niseko Hokkaido!

A beautiful sunset over the Niseko ski resort before the wind and snow returned to the area yesterday.
