Situated in a quiet and private setting, it just takes a few minutes to walk to the Kokusai ski lift at Happo One, where the Evergreen International ski school is also conveniently located. The central Wadano location allows guests to take full advantage of the wide and fantastic selection of restaurants, bars, shops and onsen hot springs located right on the doorstep in both Wadano and Happo Village. All of these excellent amenities are but a short stroll away from The Ridge Hotel Hakuba.

Lovely studio apartment and great location, except we did think it was ski in/out but it’s a 200-300m walk to the ski lifts - obviously doable, just not as perfect as we had hoped.

The staff at the Ridge were very accomodating to us. They went out of their way to please. We are very grateful to the kitchen staff and the reception staff who did everything for us on our stay Thank you 🙏

Great room. 2 bedroom apartment. Super clean. Good location. Staff helpful but those new to Japan and being the start of the season meant not a lot of local knowledge.

The room was amazing, great size for a family of four with a phenomenal view. The restaurant was good, the staff efficient and helpful. We had dinner once at the hotel and it was the restaurant wasn't large enough to provide a fully fledged dining experience (need to book and order in advance from the menu). But there are many options nearby so it wasn't a big deal. The hotel is also quite close to nearby shuttles.

We loved Ridges. It's a boutique hotel which makes it personal and all the staff are happy and friendly. Approx 10mins leisurely walk with kids to Ever Green Ski School on the slopes and Lifts. The local bus stops out the front as well as Ridges are more than happy to drop you to required location (they only ask you make your own way back). Breakfast and Dinner was always delicious accomodating to westernised taste buds. Rooms were spotless and warm which you can control. Only negative issue was bathroom shower area very small and only has a pull down blind, no door. This didn't worry us but may worry some people. The toilet is separate with a door.
