The Munich Christmas Market in Sapporo is a winter event that has been held annually since 2002. It was established to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Sapporo and Munich, Germany. Taking place in Odori Park at the Nishi 2-chome block, the market creates a festive atmosphere that draws millions of visitors annually from within Japan and abroad. In 2024, the market ran from November 22 to December 25, offering a unique blend of cultural exchange, Christmas cheer, and winter charm.
