  • Yukoro Onsen in Hirafu Reopens

Visitors to Niseko can once again enjoy one of the most iconic Hirafu onsen experiences, as Yukoro Onsen has officially reopened in the heart of the village. Closed for several years, this natural hot spring has been completely rebuilt on its original site and now welcomes guests with a fresh design, modern facilities, and the same natural mineral waters that made it a local favourite.

Yukoro Onsen in Hirafu

The new Yukoro Onsen in Niseko has been designed by architect Makoto Nakayama, whose vision combines contemporary architecture with the classic atmosphere of Japanese hot spring culture. Guests can expect a calm yet refined space where relaxation comes first with views of Mt. Yotei on clear days.

Separate facilities for men and women include:

  • Two indoor baths with minimalist design
  • A sauna for deep relaxation
  • An outdoor rotenburo surrounded by Niseko’s seasonal landscapes
  • A spacious shower area
  • Changing rooms with secure lockers
  • A restaurant on the ground floor is also planned to open soon, adding a dining option to complement the hot spring experience.

Yukoro Onsen in Hirafu is centrally located, within walking distance of many Niseko accommodation. It is the ideal onsen in Hirafu for skiers and snowboarders looking to unwind after a day on the slopes, and is a great way to refresh sore muscles and relax.
