A 6cm top up of light, dry powder snow has been recorded since yesterday and the temperature at 8am this morning was -6ºc. Sunny conditions prevail in Niseko and with more sunshine forecast for tomorrow this is a great window of fine weather to take in the excellent views the area presents. Mt. Yotei has been completely free of clouds at times reminding us what a photographic landscape she provides. From a skiing and snowboarding perspective this has been a great time to hike the peak of Mt. Annupuri and and be able to see not only Mt. Yotei but across to Lake Toya and as far as the Sea of Japan. Superb conditions for winter sports are currently on offer across all of the Niseko United ski resort area.
sterday was one of those rare days where it felt like 90% of the people skiing and snowboarding in Niseko were hiking up to the top of the peak for amazing views and deep powder turns.
