  • Niseko Powder Report 31st December 2020

23cm of new snow was recorded on the JSE Niseko Hirafu snow station and the temperature at 7:30am was a chilly -10ºc. The cold temps and dry conditions are supplying some incredibly light powder snow right now making for an excellent end to 2020 and ensuring 2021 will start off with a bang.

Taking the infamous ‘Pizza Box’ single chair King Lift #4 up to the top to access Gate 4 which opened for the first time yesterday.

Niseko Backcountry Gate 4 opened yesterday for the first time this winter providing access to incredible powder filled terrain.

The snow conditions and views of Kutchan Town, Hanazono & Mt Yotei through Gate 4 yesterday were simply amazing – the Niseko snow season continues to impress.

The JSE Niseko Powder Report is new for Winter 2020-21 so keep checking in with us for daily updates! Our snow station is located in Niseko Hirafu at an elevation of 210m above sea level. For a well established snow report in a different Niseko location we recommend comparing snowfall readings with 360niseko.
