Annupuri and Grand Hirafu will remain open until 6 May, while Village and Hanazono will close on 12 April. Niseko’s popular night skiing will operate from 13 December 2025 until 22 March 2026, giving visitors the chance to ski under floodlit slopes well into the evening.
Rusutsu Resort will also open on 29 November, running until 31 March. Known for its wide, tree-lined runs and efficient lift network, Rusutsu offers a relaxed yet high-quality experience throughout the winter season.
Furano Ski Resort will operate from 29 November through to Golden Week on 6 May, providing one of the longest continuous seasons in Hokkaido. The Furano Zone typically opens earlier than the Kitanomine side of the resort, with the opening of that side of the resort being decided based on conditions but generally opens in mid-December.
On Honshu, Hakuba Happo-One will open on 1 December and close on 6 May. Following last winter’s record snowfall and strong visitor numbers, the resort is expecting another excellent season. Hakuba has been receiving a number of new developments recently making it an even more attractive resort to visit.
All Japan ski resort opening dates are weather dependent, but the coordinated schedules provide a clear outlook for the 2025–26 winter season.
