MUKASHI MUKASHI

Mukash Mukashi is a beautiful chalet that is fully equipped to handle a big family or group in superb luxury. In addition to heating, all of the floors throughout the chalet are heated and can be easily adjusted to suit. In addition there is a fireplace in the living Room on a timer which is carefully screened to protect your children from getting fingers burned. Many of the lights are motion detected in for example the bathrooms and of course there are the ubiquitous Japanese self flushing toilets with the heated seats. From the cutlery, kitchenware, appliances and glasses everything that could be wanted is supplied. The two dishwashers and the two washing machines were also ver convenient and handy. Every bedroom has a bathroom and there are powder rooms everywhere. We counted nine toilets! But, it is still cozy and does not feel overwhelming. The TV room which is separate from the cosy living room with the fireplace is a nice place to get away or to park the kids. We did not use the TV but instead brought a Karaoke machine which we plugged in easily via an open HDMI spot. There was a stereo port for the Living Room to be able to play your music through but it was only for IPhones and we could not work out how to connect ours, the fault no doubt being ours and not the chalet's. The van provided with the chalet was very useful as it could accommodate about 9 people or perhaps more. You must get an International Driver's license, but that is easy and readily available through AAA or RACQ if you from Australia. This was helpful getting to the slopes which are uphill from the chalet or to the supermarket which is a few kilometres out of the town. There are smaller convenience stores and restaurants a short walk away. Beside the chalet is the fridge bar (literally 20 steps away) which is a quaint little bar entered through refrigerator door! The cost of Mukashi Mukashi is high but if you want a very special 5 star accommodation experience in Japan then I would have no hesitation in recommending Mukashi Mukashi.
