Ski & Snowboard Rentals at Rusutsu Resort
There are several rental stations offering a full range of ski and snowboard equipment located throughout the resort, making equipment pick-up and drop-off easy for guests staying at Rusutsu hotels. Rental equipment includes skis, snowboards, boots, poles, helmets, and outerwear.
Choose from two ski or snowboard models to rent:
- Standard – Ideal for beginners to lower-intermediate skiers and riders looking for reliable, budget-friendly skis or snowboards.
- Expert – high performance equipment designed for experienced skiers.
Where to book Rusutsu Ski & Snowboard Rental
Advance reservation isn’t required for ski rental in Rusutsu. However, guests can submit an online application form ahead of time through the official Rusutsu website to make the pickup process smoother on the day. After you check in to your Rusutsu accommodation, you’ll be able to pick up your rental at one of the stations in the hotel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book my rentals in advance?
It’s recommended to book ski rentals in advance so staff can prepare equipment before you arrive. Reservations aren’t required to rent onsite, but booking in advance saves time during the fitting process and means the right equipment will be reserved for you.
Can I swap between skis and a snowboard?
You may be able to swap between ski and snowboard equipment for an additional fee. Fees vary, so please confirm directly with rental staff.
What if my boots don’t fit properly?
If your boots or other rental equipment aren’t comfortable or don’t fit correctly, tell rental staff immediately when you pick up your gear or at any point during your hire. Staff will help you find a better size or swap equipment so you can get back on the slopes quickly and safely.
Which rental package should I choose?
Beginners and casual skiers or snowboarders will mostly be fine using the Standard model. Intermediate and advanced riders, or anyone planning to ski or ride powder, should choose the Expert models.
Can my equipment be delivered to my accommodation?
No. Equipment must be fitted in person for comfort and safety. Pre-book your rentals and collect them from the rental station, with equipment typically available from the afternoon before your hire period.
Can I rent helmets, clothing, and accessories?
Yes. Helmets, jackets, pants, gloves, goggles, and other accessories are available to rent in addition to skis, snowboards, and boots. Some rental stations offer full-set options that bundle gear together.
Can I add ski hire after booking my accommodation?
Once your Rusutsu accommodation booking is confirmed, you can book your ski rental via the official Rusutsu resort website.
Where do I return the equipment?
Return all rental gear to the same rental station where you picked it up at the end of your rental period.
