When does Niseko ski resort open?
The Niseko 2026-27 ski season will run from 28th November 2026 – 5th May 2027, weather and conditions permitting.

Which ski areas make up the resort and what are the Niseko opening dates?
Niseko United includes four ski areas:

• Niseko Annupuri (28 Nov 2026 – 5 May 2027)

• Niseko Village (28 Nov 2026 – 4 April 2027)

• Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU (28 Nov 2026 – 5 May 2027)

• Niseko Hanazono (28 Nov 2026 – 11 April 2027)

When does night skiing run in Niseko?
Night skiing is scheduled from 12th December 2026 – 22nd March 2027 across all four ski areas.

When is the best time to visit Niseko?
The best time to visit Niseko for peak powder is typically from late December to mid-February. Snow quality remains excellent through February and into March, with fewer crowds later in the season. April is great for skiing groomed runs.

Which Niseko resort stays open the longest?
Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU and Niseko Annupuri usually have the longest seasons, staying open until 5th May 2027, weather permitting.
