Furano and Niseko accommodation options have expanded with the addition of several new hotels, while the Hakuba accommodation roster has grown with mostly private chalets, along with several hotels, giving skiers even more choice over where and how they stay in Japan’s best ski destinations.

Opening ahead of the 2026/27 ski season, Moxy Niseko Village brings Marriott’s lifestyle brand to Hokkaido for the first time. The 1898 Niseko
Opened in December 2025, The 1898 Niseko is a luxury boutique hotel designed specifically for multi-generational families and large groups. Set against the backdrop of Mount Yotei, the property features six expansive suites ranging from 100 to 350 square metres, each with a private hinoki onsen and dedicated butler service.
